Affiliate Disclosure

How Garden Robot Atlas makes money, and what that does and does not influence.

Last updated 12 August 2026.

The short version

This site may earn a commission when you purchase through links on this page, at no additional cost to you.

The longer version

Garden Robot Atlas takes part in affiliate programmes. When you click a link marked "Check Price", "See Current Offer" or similar and go on to buy something, the retailer may pay us a percentage of the sale.

You pay exactly the same price either way. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not out of your pocket.

This is how the site is funded. Verifying specifications against manufacturer documentation, keeping records current and building the tools on this site takes real time, and the alternatives — charging readers, or taking payment from manufacturers to be featured — are both worse for you.

Which programmes

We work with affiliate networks including Impact and Awin, and with manufacturers directly. The specific merchants change over time; every commercial link on this site goes through a redirect that is clearly marked and excluded from search engine crawling.

What commission does not affect

This is the part that matters:

  • It does not affect the specifications. Figures come from manufacturer documentation and are identical whether or not we earn from a model.
  • It does not affect the Mower Finder. Fit scores are calculated from published specifications and your answers. Commission rates are not an input, and the code that calculates a score has no access to them.
  • It does not affect category listings. A "best for steep slopes" page lists mowers whose published slope rating qualifies them, in order of that rating.
  • It does not affect comparisons. Verdicts are awarded on published numbers.
  • It does not buy inclusion. No manufacturer can pay to appear here, or to be described more favourably.

We also list mowers we earn nothing from. Where there is no affiliate arrangement, the page links to the manufacturer's own site instead, and says so.

How links are marked

Every commercial link:

  • carries rel="sponsored nofollow", as search engines require
  • passes through a redirect on this domain that is blocked in robots.txt
  • appears alongside a visible disclosure

Prices

We record prices with the date they were checked, and hide them once they are out of date rather than show a stale figure. We do not claim to find the lowest price available anywhere, because we do not compare prices across retailers — which is why our buttons say "Check Price" rather than "Cheapest Price".

Always check the current price at the retailer before buying.
